The Milk Carton Kids

After some nice hip hop songs, we tought it was time for a nice indie song. And we've found a very very nice track, this one is coming from The Milk Carton Kids. Before this song I didn't know them but they blew me away with this nice song. I hope you'll like them to. Enjoy!

The Drums

The Drums just released a new track, this track will be on their next album called Portamento. This album will be released in September. This is a nice indie-poppy song, if the rest of the album is like this it will be a really good LP. Enjoy mates!

Small interview with Atlas Genius

Atlas Genius is a promising Australian band who recently released their first single Trojans, which we posted earlier on The Music Beam. Lucky us, we had the opportunity to ask some questions to Keith Jeffery, band member of Atlas Genius.

Avermen

A month ago this band released a brand new EP called Misty Mountains. These four guys from Sunderland really know how to make some nice and catchy music! I hope to hear from them in the future, they have a huge potential! Enjoy!

Athletes in Paris

Athletes In Paris, a band from the UK we've been following for a long time, has given us a preview of their latest single called Heartbeat. The new single will be out on August 8.

After Borrowed Time and Just Decline this is the 3rd single in a row. And yet again they made a very very nice song. They describe the song as an 'instant summertime pop tune'. We can't agree more!

This guys will be big, and I'm really looking forward to a debut EP or LP. I'll keep you posted!

The Kooks

The Kooks are back with a new song, the song is called The Saboteur. The song is a little weird in, in the beginning you hear some awesome Kooks stuff but then it turns down for a bit and after that you hear the nice guitars back. The song would have been better when they maintained the nice beginning. It's a nice track though, awesome voice and awesome guitar riffs. Enjoy!

Atlas Genius

This new upcoming Australian (yes, Australia again) indie-rock band Atlas Genius released an awesome and catchy guitar-pop song Trojans. Like Miami Horror, an other Australian band says: 'it is hard for Australian bands to break-through in Europe', which is a shame since Australian bands mostly have a great sound and Atlas Genius isn't an exception. We hope to see 'em soon in Europe performing on stage. Here's their first single Trojans, enjoy!

Leann Grimes

Leann Grimes is the project of Shane Conerty (known from the band 'Now You See Them'). With this new project, Shane released a free album on his website. The album is based on music blogs that like his music. Leann Grimes is mostly instrumental, but there are some songs with vocals on the album as well. Remarkable is the rework of Undercover of Darkness by The Strokes which Leann Grimes gave a new name: Under Cover of Dirt and Grime. The music sounds really fresh and happy, check him out I'd say!

Strange Talk

Another very promising electro-indie band from Australia, called Strange Talk, released their first EP last month. They created 4 lovely songs that we can describe as a smashing combination of the catchy tunes from Passion Pit and Phoenix back in the days. themusicbeam presents you Is It Real? , the third song on their EP. Enjoy!

High Society (Andreas Lust Remix)

You might know Bear Hands for their singles Crime Pays, What a Drag and Vietnam, three awesome songs of these fella's. Here's a remix of a more recent song called High Society, it is remixed by a Scottish dj/producer named Andreas Lust, who also made a remix for Frightened Rabbit (you can listen to both remixes in this blog), enjoy!
