Alameda & Young Galaxy

Alameda:

These youngsters are planning to release their debut album in 2011, but as a teaser they recently released their first single called New Leaf. The music is a little bit dreamy and you can hear the reference to the 90's indie pop and the folkrock of today. Their debut album Seasons/Spectres will soon come out in stores so check their album I'd say!

Young Galaxy:

Young Galaxy is a Canadian band that released their latest album (it's their third album) a few weeks ago called Shapeshifting. For those who don't know Young Galaxy, they're an indie rock/dreamy synthpop tree-headed band formed by Stephen Ramsay, Catherine McCandless and Stephen Kamp. If you like the band, go buy their music! Here's a song from their new album called We Have Everything, enjoy!

#1 Belgian Tuesdays

The intent of "Belgian Tuesdays" is to put a Belgian or Pseudo Belgian band in the spotlights. The first band to appear in this section is Puggy. Although the band consists of a French bassist, a Swedisch drummer and an English vocalist, they call themselves Belgian because they met at the Jazz school in Brussels.

They were the opening act for bands such as Smashing Pumpkins, Incubus and Deep Purple. In 2007 they recorded their first album called "Dubois Died Today". Last year they released a second album called "Something You Might Like". Below I have posted one of their clips. I hope you like their music as much as I do.

Lykke Li

A very fresh release today! This night Lykke Li presented her new album Wounded Rhymes! It's a very nice album with lots of different songs. You have really peaceful songs but also more rock songs, nice variation. Get Some is a more famous number from the album, I guess y'all heard it before. Rich Kids Blues is another attractive song from the album. I really liked it so I hope you will like it, but I guess so! Enjoy this Swedish lady guys!

The Joy Formidable

The Joy Formidable finally released their album this week, it took these guys nearly two years to produce a real debut album. They had released the single Whirring in April 2009 and now the album is finally in stores and is calledThe Big Roar. The Joy Formidable already released an EP and a mini-album called A Balloon Called Moaning, but the last one wasn't quite a commercial success.
The Big Roar is a great debut album and approves that these guys are at least promising, let's hope to see 'em soon in Europe! Check it out and support these guys!

Cut Copy

Cut Copy has a new album. The Australian band has just released a brand new album called 'Zonoscope'. The first single of the album is called 'Need You Now'. Some people describe their sound as electropop. The first single of Cut Copy is called '1981' and was released way back in 2001. And now you can hear 2 of their new songs on The Music Beam.

Take the time to listen and enjoy

Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will

Mogwai has recently released a new album which is great news, remember their outstanding debut albumMogwai Young Team released in 1997? It had to be their greatest album they would ever make, although Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will comes close to their first album, and unlike the name says, these guys from Scotland still make post-rock and it doesn't even come close to hardcore, which is a good thing for them since they are one of the greatest post-rock bands on earth. I have presumption that they will come to lots of festivals this summer!
